Sofra, the only Turkish grill in Wakefield with a contemporary and relaxed feel. It comprises traditional Turkish food in a stripped back industrial setting. Come and try our range of Turkish classics, hummus, Tzatiki or dolma vine leaves to start. Our mouth watering marinated meats including succulent lamb Shish, chicken breast and kofte from the main menu all cooked on a charcoal grill, and to accompany, warm homemade Turkish bread and a colourful salad bar. Not forgetting our specials board put together by or Turkish chefs. We have a great range of drinks including of course Efes, Mythos and a cocktail menu it would be rude not to take advantage of. Customarily, the authentic cuisine is cooked on an open Mangle filled with burning charcoal.
Therefore, to carry on the Turkish tradition all our food is freshly prepared and cooked on a Mangle filled with burning charcoal, to ensure all our customers get the true Turkish experience.

After visiting this lovely place today, I can say that I'm already thinking when to go next :) When food is that good, it's addictive. Great place,great service great food what more can you want. First time visit and definitely won't be our last. The food was fresh and delicious and lots on the menu to try both lunch times and evenings. A must if you like Turkish/Mediterranean food.

Went along for my birthday lunch with work colleagues. Fantastic food, lovely staff and a great place! My only gripe was they had a fabulous list of cocktails and a happy hour I couldn't enjoy as I'm currently 6 months pregnant. Definitely worth a visit!!
